Class Descriptions:

 

HSH Classes are divided in 4 level Beginner 1 & 2,  Advance Beginner  & Intermediate . Students in order to pass from one level to the next must know and be able to execute the syllabus of his/her previous class.

Each Class will have a 5 min review of the previous level syllabus so be ready to Show your moves.

 

All classes are ongoing, you can start at anytime.  Every Salsa  class starts with 5-10  min of solo footwork, also known as “Shines”, which will help you get faster and lighter on your feet , follow by 45 min  of partner work

 

Beginner Salsa 1 & 2

 

In these 2 levels we introduce the students to the Salsa rhythm and how to count to Salsa music by working on 7 basic moves

 

Beg 1 (3 moves): Cross Body Lead - Right Turn - Left Turn

Beg2 (4 moves): Hammer Lock - Hand Change Turn - Break Change - Pass

 

Advance-Beginner On1

 

This class is designed for those students who have learned the beginner syllabus  (shines and Partner work) concepts of salsa rhythm and timing.  It is important  and required that  the student knows all the step from beginner level in order to take this class.

 

Adv-Beg ( 10 moves): LA Prep—CBL Left turn - CBL Right turn - Open out- Copa– Walk Back (1 or 2 hands) -Cape - Sombrero - Behind the Back— Separation front & Back.

 

Intermediate On1

 

This class is for the students who  is comfortable with the adv-beginner syllabus. In this class Henri will challenge the students to learn different  ways of using their syllabus  moves, changing direction and arms as well as adding new fancy and more intricate  material

 

 

ON2 NY style salsa (Adv-beginner & Intermediate )

 

If you are ready to step up your game and give it a try to the NY style , come and join Henri in this class designed for those On1 salseros who want to be bi-salsa-lingual and  for On2 salseros who want to give HSH style a try.

 

 
Ladies Styling class.           

 

This Fun Class will star with a  warm up to loosen up your body and make you get in tune with your Hot Sexy side. The instructor will  break down the most exciting and sexy styling that you can apply to your basic Salsa partnering moves.  Cross body lead, right turns, left turns, head whips, arms styling as well as leg styling. will be key in this class

 

 

Spinning & Shinning (open)

 

This new fun and exciting class will take you to the next level in your salsa dance. The  first part of these class will be a combination of warm up, posture technique exercises and spinning drills. The second half of the class we will be working intricate footwork  combinations adding syncopations, change of direction and musicality.  The main goal of this class is to provide the students with the tools and the confidence to move freely in the dance floor without a partner.

 

Body Movement Class (open)

 

This will be the hottest class of HSH this summer. Henri will take you for an hour of a total body isolations, strengthening, stretching and cardio. These class will  provide the students with the opportunity to loosen up and get stronger by experimenting with different rhythms, afro Cuban movement, modern dance fundamentals and Street salsa style. Dress code: sweat pant , shorts, tanks or t-shirt and water. No jeans or dress pants other wise you will melt….
